Survey Results
To see my Survey Results in Full please click the link
The bar graph displays that the target audience for our music video will be aimed at the 18-24 category as 60% of those surveyed chose this. Moreover this suggests that this age group is more likely to visit music video websites such as Youtube and Vevo as they are more confident on the internet. It is apparent that no one over the age of 44 answered my survey this may be due to the lack of exposure however this suggests Adults of this age don’t see music videos as a major part of their life.
The gender is a 50% split therefore in our music video we will try and cater for both genders. I had expected this result as the music industry has an even ratio of female and male artists as well as their fan counterparts. This is one of the most important questions as if the results were more favourable to a certain gender, then we would have to make sure we target conventions and stereotypes of that gender so the fans enjoyed it and in turn bought the product. Effectively we are creating a mental image of what our basic fan (customer) will look like and therfore we can decide which genre to base our music video on and which themes to include. As it is a 50% split we have come up with the idea of a break up in our music video as the majorty of males and females in there teen years hav experienced a break up, moreover we can play on both gender stereotypes.

I chose this question as it allows us again to build up our customer base, by seeing which radio stations our consumers would listen to it allows us to create an idea of what type of music they like as we cna see the 10 that answered chose either Capital or Radio 1 two pop/dance realted radio stations therfore we are more inclinded to create a pop music video.
Finally this last question is the most obviously explained... the genre with the largest number of votes would be are deciding factor. As you can see from the bar graph, EDM and Pop seem the most popular category, a conclusion we had already made. Therefore we now have no doubt that producing a Pop/ Dance genre music video will be advantageous to us as the target market longs for this type of video.
THANKYOU FOR EVERYONE WHO VOTED... MUCH APPRECIATED
